Mexico Destination Guide

While you may plan to never leave your resort on your holiday, we’ve put together a handy destination guide with all you need to know for your adult only holiday in Mexico.

Mexico is a country of colour, flavour and history; an exciting mix that includes Mayan ruins, vibrant cities, palm-fringed beaches and luxury adult only all-inclusive resorts.

Mexico links the North and South American continents, stretching from the USA in the north to Guatemala in the south and with both Pacific and Caribbean coasts it boasts some of the most beautiful beaches to be found anywhere.

Adult adventurers can choose from the Caribbean nightlife of Cancun or the luxury of Los Cabos on the Pacific coast.

Cuisine

Travellers may be familiar with burritos and tacos already,  but trying these traditional Mexican dishes made fresh with local ingredients and traditional recipes is a whole new experience. Wash them down with a local beer or if you’re in the mood to party, tequila is a must. The locals prefer to sip their tequila rather than slam it.

What is the currency of Mexico and how much holiday money should I take?

Mexican peso, credit cards and traveller's cheques are widely accepted.

Many Temptation Holidays are all-inclusive, so you won't need a lot of extra spending money unless you want to take part in extra activities, or explore around the resort.

We recommend that you double check the resort details on what is and isn’t included to plan your holiday budget.

Do I need a visa for Mexico?

Travellers from the UK that are tourists do not need a visa for Mexico but they must complete an immigration form and have this with them when they enter and leave Mexico.
